Cavalry & Guards - A London Home
The amalgamation of the original
Guards Club (1810-1976) with the Cavalry Club (1890-1976) fused two
great establishments. Over 30 years later, the club flourishes as never
before, combining a strong sense of its military pedigree with a
relaxed, family atmosphere fully at ease in the contemporary world.
The year 2009 marks the centenary of the reconstruction of the original building which has given us the classic interior that sums up everything a London club should be, while recent cleaning has revealed the full glories of the beautiful façade.
The centenary provided the opportunity for The Club, working closely with Third Millenium Publishing, to produce an exciting publication, Cavalry & Guards - A London Home, celebrating the 100th birthday of 127 Piccadilly together with the double centenary of the original Guards Club founded in 1810.
Published to much acclaim in June 2009, this book is a richly entertaining and beautifully illustrated portrait of the Club's past and present, a true reflection of the Club and the membership.
Orders can be placed with the Club by calling +44 (0) 20 7499 1261 ext 452 or by emailing Mrs Soran Marshall
